Closed Loop Farming
All farms and businesses produce waste, at Stems 'n Caps we not only aim to reduce the amount of our waste but transform it into a beneficial product and service we can provide to other farmers and our community.
Mushroom Substrate
We grow our all mushrooms with Hardwood, Soy Pellets and Grain.
After the mushrooms are harvested, we take the spent substrate and recycle it into useful agriculture materials.
Vermiculture
We use Vermiculture (worms) to compost and breakdown the used substrate, leaving behind a nutrient rich fertilizer, which can be found in our shop.
Fertilizer
Our fertilizer has the benefit of adding worm casings and spent mycelium proven to help with bioremediation, erosion and nitrogen replenishment.
